Creating and Managing Tasks
Learn how to create new tasks, edit details, update status, and use labels and priority levels in Z-Tasks.
Creating a New Task
- On the Kanban board, click + Add task in any column.
- Enter a title — a brief description of the work to be done.
- Press Enter to create it quickly, or click on the task to open its details.
Task Details
Click on a task to open and edit it:
- Title — The task name.
- Description — Detailed content, requirements, and notes. Supports rich text formatting.
- Assignee — Select the team member responsible.
- Due date — Set a completion date.
- Labels — Add classification labels (Bug, Feature, Urgent, etc.).
- Priority — High, Medium, or Low.
- Attachments — Attach related documents and images.
Updating Status
There are two ways to change a task's status:
- Drag and drop — Drag the task to a different column on the Kanban board.
- In the details — Open the task → change the status from the dropdown.
Labels and Priority
Use labels to categorize tasks:
- Color labels — For example: red for "Urgent", green for "Improvement".
- Priority levels — Help sort which tasks should be done first.
Deleting a Task
Open the task → click the "..." menu → select Delete. The task will be moved to the trash.
Tip: Write clear task titles that start with a verb. For example: "Design homepage", "Review Q1 report", "Send contract to Client A".
