Sharing Files in Conversations
You can send files directly in any conversation or group channel on Z-Chat.
Z-Chat supports sharing a wide variety of files, from documents and images to videos and archives.
Supported File Types
Z-Chat allows you to send almost any file type, including:
- Images & Documents (JPG, PNG, PDF, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Videos (MP4, MOV)
- Archives (ZIP, RAR)

Maximum file size: 100 MB per file.
How to Share Files
Method 1: Drag and Drop
Drag a file from your computer and drop it directly into the conversation window.
Method 2: Attachment Button
Click the attachment icon next to the message input field, then select a file from your computer.
Method 3: Paste from Clipboard
Copy an image or file, then press Ctrl + V (or Cmd + V on Mac) to paste it directly.
Viewing and Downloading Files
When a file is shared, Z-Chat uses Z-Preview to let you view it instantly:
- Preview — Click on the file card to view images, PDFs, Office docs, or source code directly in the chat.
- Download — Use the download icon on the file card or within the preview mode to save the file.
Tip: You can find all shared files in a conversation later by using the search feature or checking the conversation's media gallery.
