Email Sending Limits
Understand the daily email sending limits for each Z-Cloud plan when using the default @z-cloud.com.vn mail server.
To protect our shared mail server reputation and prevent spam abuse, Z-Cloud enforces daily sending limits when your organization uses the default @z-cloud.com.vn email domain.
Note: If your organization uses a custom SMTP server (configured by your administrator), these limits do not apply.
Sending Limits by Plan
| Free | Starter | Pro | Business | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Emails per user / day | 50 | 200 | 500 | 1,500 | 5,000+ |
| External emails per user / day | 30 | 150 | 400 | 1,200 | 5,000+ |
| Sending rate (per minute) | 5 | 10 | 20 | 50 | 100+ |
| Total emails per organization / day | 200 | 1,000 | 5,000 | 20,000 | Custom |
What counts as an "external" email?
- Internal email — sent to someone within your organization's registered domains (e.g., colleague@yourcompany.com). These have a higher limit.
- External email — sent to any address outside your organization's domains (e.g., contact@gmail.com). These have a stricter limit to protect domain reputation.
What Happens When You Reach the Limit?
- You will see an error message indicating that your daily sending limit has been reached.
- Emails that exceed the limit will not be sent and will not be queued.
- Limits reset every day at midnight (UTC).
- System-generated emails (login alerts, password resets, notifications) are not counted toward your limit.
Per-Minute Rate Limit
To prevent sudden bursts of email (which can trigger spam filters), there is also a per-minute rate limit. If you send too many emails in a short time, you will need to wait a moment before sending more.
| Plan | Max emails per minute |
|---|---|
| Free | 5 |
| Starter | 10 |
| Pro | 20 |
| Business | 50 |
| Enterprise | 100+ |
Organization-Wide Limit
In addition to per-user limits, there is a daily limit for the entire organization. This prevents abuse even if individual users are within their personal limits.
For example, a Free plan organization with 5 users has a combined limit of 200 emails per day — even though each user can send up to 50.
Tips to Stay Within Limits
- Use internal channels for internal communication. For quick messages to colleagues, use Z-Chat instead of email.
- Avoid mass emailing. If you need to send newsletters or bulk emails, use a dedicated email marketing service instead.
- Review your CC/BCC lists. Each recipient in CC/BCC counts as a separate email.
- Check your sent count. Your administrator can monitor email usage from the admin dashboard.
Need Higher Limits?
- Upgrade your plan — Higher plans include significantly more generous limits.
- Enterprise plan — Fully customizable limits and the option for a dedicated SMTP server with your own IP address.
- Custom SMTP — Your administrator can configure a custom SMTP server for your organization, which removes all Z-Cloud sending limits.
